dc.description.abstractIn the context of precision agriculture, this work shows the development of automatic weed detection systems that will allow wedd control depending on the location and density of plants, in order to reduce o eliminate the use of chemicals. Two methods are presented in the paper: the first one is oriented towards weed detection in cereal crops, with the objective of generating weed density maps. The second one is aimed at real-time detection of weeds in vegetable, row crops, in order to be included in a vision system of a robot capable of eradicating weeds by non-chemical means.
